I agree.

The difference is I’m gripping the issue. We have already restructured the Department to focus on improving inclusion in mainstream schools for children with SEND.

A long way to go, but an important start.

6,500 more new teachers is great, but that requires experienced staff to mentor, nurture & train them. The sector needs to value & retain experienced teachers & return UPS to what was originally intended, rather than a stick to beat teachers with because they’re too expensive
