🔴 Heavier than normal menstrual bleeding
🔴 Breathlessness
🔴 Night sweats
🔴 Repeated infections
🔴 Bleeding gums
🔴 Anaemia

Eventually, Niamh spoke to a GP who listened to her symptoms, and she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML). 👇

23-year-old Niamh put her symptoms down to the stress of her teaching placement. "Looking back now, if I knew the symptoms of leukaemia, I wouldn’t have been so reluctant to go to the doctors as I didn’t want to ‘waste their time’."💬👇

My uni year didn’t turn out as planned - thank you leukaemia! But I am soooo proud of team 10 and my cohort, especially @egibson99 a friend for life💗Now I’ve finished chemo I’m more determined to finish the course and become Miss Edelsten next year... onwards and upwards
