What doesn’t seem fair is that if you have to go into a care home later in life if you’ve lived off benefits all your life & never owned your own home then you get that care for free, but someone who’s worked hard managed to buy their own home then has to sell their home in order to pay for their care.

My granda 85 is going into care home tomorrow just to stay alive. Its £2000 per WEEK until his house and savings have been swallowed up. Meanwhile in Dover, the illegal immigrants continue to arrive and are fastracked to a free 4 star hotel at our expense. He still pays tax.
