What a fun week! We love being active outdoors. First biking skills and safety with @CapitalBikeCa then finished the week with @SD63Claremont and the rugby team. Thankful for the community partnerships and student leadership. #saanichschools#sd63
Amazing cross-district collaboration and celebration of learning at the Saanich Schools Elementary Maker Faire today. Student made mini golf, robot ducks, weaving, sewing, telegraphs, food trucks, stop motion…. You name it - kids can make it!
Thank you @SD63Claremont students and teachers for the fun learning opportunities this month. We loved our afternoon with the Robotics team building our own LEGO vehicles and time outside with the Gr12 IGS class releasing salmon and learning about water ecology and chemistry.
We had Red Seal Carpenter Rachel Brown @lacey_construct as a virtual guest today for our tool cart classes at Lochside, Sidney, ḰELSET & Prospect Lake. Inspiring for our students to see where the skills they are learning can take them! Thanks @CFOFBC for making this happen!
Every child matters - every day - in every school — now and also from the past. In respect for the 215 lost children’s lives at the former residential school near Kamloops, Saanich Schools will lower flags to half-mast this week @sd63schools#215children#WearOrange
Enjoyed art class online today with many friends from our class. With our mics on it was nice to hear their voices chatter away while we drew together....almost like being in the same room! Feeling grateful for technology to connect us at this time. #sd63

Thurs Jan 16 - All Saanich Schools are OPEN today. School buses are cancelled due to icy conditions on some side streets (afternoon runs TBD). Be careful on your way to school this morning. Welcome back!
Thank you @UVICGalleries for the morning of learning together on cedar, baskets, and relationship with the land at the We Carry Our Ancestors exhibit. #sd63
Oct27 is the new moon, this marks the start of PEKELÁNEW̱ in the Saanich Moons. The moon that turns the leaves white. I love the moon cards in the kit by Earl Claxton, art by John Elliott. Make sure you tag #sd63 so we can see the learning in your classes.#saanichmoons#W̱ŚANEĆ
