2017 Maine School Counselor of the year. Elementary counselor in Hampden, Maine at a RAMP school. Passions: prevention, data, educational break out boxes.
It was great to get away and concentrate on this years goals at the Maine School Counselor’s association Annual leadership retreat... finally feeling ready.
The MESCA conference will be virtual this year! We are now accepting proposals for breakout sessions! School Counselors: Please consider turning in a proposal! https://t.co/p0AjeTDzDo
The day is finally here! I sat wide awake at 3 am in LA 2 years ago (time difference, I'm from ME!) imagining the presentation I'd give someday at ASCA. I wrote myself an email with ideas. Now I get the opportunity to present, I'm so honored! Join me today at #ASCA2020 at 3 pm ET

@clairefreedman I’m a school counselor trying to help my students stay grounded in a stressful time, would it be ok if I video taped myself reading Oliver & Patch to them and distributed digitally? Many thanks😷🤷♀️

For so many of us, it was one special teacher or school counselor who first helped us believe in who we could be and where we could go.
We can never thank you enough. You deserve the recognition you're getting and so much more! @CFPExtraYard@ReachHigher

Spoke at a @HussonU counseling class tonight. I was so impressed by the excellent questions and thoughtful comments by students. The future of school and mental health counseling is in great hands with these world-class students.
Today the Nova Scotia tree visited Weatherbee school on its way to Boston. I’m so happy that my students had the opportunity to learn about the Halifax explosion and our countries’ mutual support. It’s a great time to hear about people building each other up. I was so moved.

Every educator should relentlessly pursue growth. Not because they’re ineffective, or uninformed, or deficient in some way.
Pursue growth because no matter how great you are you can be even better. Imagine what might be possible if every educator is learning and growing.
