hey! I teach a session of LGBTQ+ health to nursing students, what do you think are the most important things for future nurses to know about caring for queer people? #lgbtqhealth#queerhealth#nursing
@georgiacgreaves Introduce yourself with your own name and pronouns so it opens a space where someone can express their own pronouns without feeling othered
@lizzietweeter I wonder if these ‘critics’ know that huge numbers of NHS staff are leaving because of a lack of basic work related needs? 🧐 it’s going to be really tough to staff a hospital at the weekend when everyone’s gone ☹️
Working in #NHS#innovation is a wild ride. One minute hearing about life changing approaches to rare diseases with @alice1williams and the next I am still number 7 in the telephone queue to book my asthma review
Wonderful conversation with @missryc about what she's leading at NHS England around complex fertility journeys & broader shared interests. Thank you Roseanna, and thanks for the introduction @RSuff 🙏❤️
‘Why have ambulance waiting times been getting worse?’ By @HealthFdn - a reminder that looking after the mental health of staff and communities isn’t fluffy, it’s an ethical AND economic imperative https://t.co/qxPwx7dZjK
I know not everyone can, but for those looking to give to charity at Christmas this year, @actnforchildren have a great range of gifts, including £5 to cover a child’s healthy breakfast for a week, to paying for emergency food packages, toys and bills: https://t.co/IOzdt1zrZG
@tash_om I know it doesn’t mean much Tash, but the work you, Lizzie and Michael do give so many of us motivation to keep going, trying to do the right thing. That said, please put your own health and wellbeing first.
Great discussion around the NHS being a "hot bed for innovation", says @paulvolkaerts For the workforce to fully utilise this bed of innovation, they need support, training and education to implement and spread @healthyopinion@AnnaTransform18@VidehaSharma#NHSIRLS, @missryc
It’s only a couple of weeks until my MSc dissertation hand-in and I’m looking at my work thinking “this is terrible… I’ve been kidding myself this whole time!”
Is this normal or should I go hide beneath a comfortable rock?
@gettingpregnan1 We’ve been discussing it and they give high level steer but they don’t go through it in close detail in the way that my undergrad supervisor did. I think the assumption is at this point in my career I should know what I’m doing 😂
