I'M SO ANXIOUS ABOUT GETTING TO WORK TOMORROW 😫

[Miss S 📚 @MissS_Eng]

Literally no other way for me to get there! 😂

[Miss S 📚 @MissS_Eng]

Luckily I filled up my car the day before all this madness started, but I drive 60 miles a day to and from work and I'm anxious about getting fuel in just over a weeks time 😅

@LNS_MissJ Same! Not letting up next week either, with meetings late after school! 😫

[Miss S 📚 @MissS_Eng]

Just in case anyone's keeping track, I worked a 13 hour day today. I only get paid for 6 of them. How is this okay?! Why are we not making any noise about this?! Cannot keep this up. 😔

Was feeling so anxious about teaching again, but as soon as I got in front of the Y7s today my soul just went 'Yes. This is where you're meant to be.' There's honestly nothing like it! 😍 #edutwitter #TeamEnglish #ukedchat #RQT

I've got 3 days next week before the students come back to just hash out my lessons and plans for the term, and I'm actually quite excited! I love the start of a new school year - so much potential!

🚨Rare sincere tweet🚨For me, I think anxiety about going back to school stems largely from, once it begins, you know that’s it - you’re totally consumed by it for the next 10 months & will only really get to switch off again next summer. Kinda daunting & never really gets easier

[Miss S 📚 @MissS_Eng]

Last day of holiday nerves! 🥺 I'm glad we've got INSET days and a staggered start before the students come back, I need a little refresher I think! I'll be fine once the first lesson is done!

@LisaLottTeach Me too!

[Miss S 📚 @MissS_Eng]

Was planning on going into school tomorrow to sort my classroom, but forgot it's Bank Holiday Monday! 🥺 Tuesday is the last day of the holidays for me so that will have to do instead - I'm itching to get it done!

@MissBTheECT I do some facts about me, expectations and then some creative writing!

[Miss S 📚 @MissS_Eng]

Going to spend the last few days of the holiday on the sofa, binge watching Suits and soaking up the free time 👍🏼 (desperately trying not to feel guilty about it! 🥺)

@BecomingMissC That's true! I'm just using my iPad for planning, so it didn't take me long at all, but I feel better now it's done!

[Miss S 📚 @MissS_Eng]

Dare I say, I feel relatively prepared about going back to school! Planner set up, first couple of lessons planned for all year groups, classroom planned... just need to unpack my classroom and get student data when we're back! 😊

@MissMusa_xo Thank you! Yes, this is the GoodNotes app, which is great but you do have to pay. I also use OneNote for my planner, which is free and comes with Microsoft Office 😊

[Miss S 📚 @MissS_Eng]

Decided to do some work today and brush up on my subject knowledge: first up, Blood Brothers!

#edutwitter #TeamEnglish #ukedchat #NQT 📚

[Miss S 📚 @MissS_Eng]

@wordy2020 @MrsLHistory I thought I'd just try it for a few weeks and I haven't looked back! Made everything planning-wise so much quicker and easier!

[Miss S 📚 @MissS_Eng]

I'm seeing lots of stuff about planning - just wanted to throw my thoughts out there! I adore pen and paper and prettiness, but I started planning on my iPad at Easter, and I haven't looked back! So much quicker and easier! #edutwitter #TeamEnglish #ukedchat #NQT

[Miss S 📚 @MissS_Eng]

@LisaLottTeach I said the same - started Easter-ish and haven't looked back!

[Miss S 📚 @MissS_Eng]

@MrsLHistory Thank you! Just with OneNote - it comes with Microsoft Office! Completely free, and it's been ideal 😊
