@Grant_Shep@poppywillowgirl I’m Science (Bio, Chem, Phys) with strong maths background and 10 years experience. I would love to work. Sadly, I am not permitted to due to mandates, and I’m being threatened with being put on the ‘Never to be employed’ list. I am not alone, there are thousands just like me 🥺
@Grant_Shep So sad to read this! I know of many teachers who are well qualified and experienced but are no longer allowed to teach due to mandates. Combined with the loss of casuals to COVID cover … This has a huge impact on an already broken system, unfortunately 🥲

@steven_kolber Some of the well known research that educational leaders get excited about is poorly conducted with bad statistical data. That makes me want to be more discerning.
How to be discerning of educational research whilst time poor is probably the better question?
@steven_kolber Currently completing a unit in post grad studies based on dissecting educational research.
The amount of ‘research’ that is around is enormous and sifting through to find the ones that are well done is very time consuming.
@stevenj13@NSWEducation@NSWSPC@TeachersFed@AEUfederal @AGavrielatos @JudyRGH One of the biggest issues lies with how to escape such a situation. Current policy states that the first referee on any job applications has to be current principal. If a teacher is genuinely wanting out there is no dignified way without leaving the system.
An exhausting term ended beautifully with a generous @surface goodie bag filled with goodies! Thanks a bunch @townesy77, it made my day 🥰
I may have to buy another surface pro to use both of those skins 💯
