So a couple of my friends came over to stay for an extended period of time, and we kept arguing about who gets to cook. To solve that, I decided to design an app.

To show them I was serious, I went all in, designed the brand identity and everything. The entire process took under 5 hours cumulatively. All illustrations were done by me, the logo as well, and no AI tools were used.

I’m planning to develop the app, so let me know if it’s worth it.
PS: it solves the exact problem we’re currently facing, so I may not have considered other use cases in this first iteration.

I have always been against separating UI UX Design from engineering

I have never thought a UI UX Designer should have no clue or contribution to the engineering of a product

User experience can only be implemented in pixels by at most 50%. the rest is in the engineering and usage of the product

User experience for web apps cannot be designed only in pixels. Can never be.

This is the reason I love the era of AI and vibecoding. It gives you power to be a real user experience designer. A product designer/builder
