@ArchTheAtheist I mean the front loading. You have to be indoctrinated or vulnerable to such beliefs in order to 'do' theism at all in the first place.
Raise a kid to be a decent human and never suggest deity and I do not think they'd come up with it on their own, as a rule.
@ArchTheAtheist I dunno. That sounds pretty irrational. For me it's all just normal habits. Go to work pretty religiously. Try to be good at what I do. Study in my free time on the topic.
If I applied the same energy to a deity as I do going to work, I'd probably have to think it was real.
@ArchTheAtheist To you, it would be one of the more rational, and probably something you do almost without thought. It will be routine. Not necessarily something you're 'good' at, but something that factors into your decision making.
@ArchTheAtheist Exactly. Do anything 'religiously' and your brain will believe it after a while.
Part of why people break down leaving any group like it. Your whole outlook is a lie and now you have to sort it out and reevaluate from the ground up.
@hesanaughtyboy It's a death cult. Nothing matters now, everything that's important is after you die, so you base everything you do in setting yourself up in your post death condo in jesusland.
And they make laws and rules based on this.
