@emanningwrites Absolute disaster
When has a coach coming out of retirement after more than 1-2 years ever worked in any sport? Why do teams keep doing it?
@JayCCalhoun@WozzleBaby I've seen those clips before, IIRC Gordon liked and respected her so much they still helped her out even after she was eliminated
@canespowerplay I think a lot of this talk comes from Nikishin being part of a possible package for Hughes.
But that's not the same as being "available". It's trading potential for right now, at the same position.
@JayCCalhoun I don't recall whether I saw it on a Waffle House menu or elsewhere, but I've heard WH sells LOADS of hamburgers.
If you put a fatty beef patty on an industrial-grade griddle, it's going to yield a good hamburger more often than not
@canesbian@Blank_Takes Offering Nikishin for Hughes is the same rationale that led to trading Hanifin for Hamilton.
You're trading a prospect who COULD be a high-level 1D for a guy who is that RIGHT NOW.
@espn@PKSubban1 I don't think these guys paid attention to games 4-5.
I went to game 5 and was saying afterwards that it felt like the point the Montreal series reached, where Carolina said "we've figured you out, we're better than you, and we have no intention of losing again"
@Conor_J_Power The Canes system is interesting in that you don't need an elite goalie, what you need is a goalie who can make the handful of saves he needs to with long gaps in between. There's plenty of keepers who need to see volume to find their groove, but falter with low shots against
