Now that @IGHSAU wrestling has gotten to be big time, changes are absolutely needed.
RRW’s situation is wild. It is crazy to think the 6th and 9th biggest schools in the state are allowed to be in a co-op. They also have a top level “3A” and “2A” school in the mix.

My favorite finish we have done.
Our Linn-Mar Boys Golf team is heading to State! Congratulations to the team on their third-place finish at the district tournament yesterday, and a special shoutout to Christian Cloyd for winning the district championship! #WeAreLinnMar
Our hearts are broken for the Curt Hynek family. Curt was a former LM wrestling coach for many years and beloved art teacher at Oak Ridge. We are sending our love to Kim, Jesse, Calvin, Coilee and the rest of the family.
@HilmerMike No offense, but it probably would have been a better picture w her in it and you taking it. 😂 Hope you're well, coach. You all look great. Very happy.
If your youth wrestling coach is cursing at your athletes, you need to find a new room.
I just spent a few days at Oklahoma State, one of the most talented rooms in college wrestling. I didn’t hear a single curse word delivered by leadership during practice.
The best coaches in the country, coaching the best athletes in the country — with the most on the line.
Now ask yourself, if the best coaches aren’t using that type of language with 20-year-olds, does it make sense to use it when addressing your 10-year-old sons and daughters?
Negative energy is contagious, and so is the language. It’s tough to build someone up while belittling them at the same time. If you want your kids to be empowered, allow them to be led by coaches in control of their own emotions.
Treat your wrestlers with dignity, and you get the most from them.
Foul language has no place in youth sports.
