He was buried here on January 23, 1966.

Ladoke Akintola, GCON (July 6, 1910 - January 15, 1966), Barrister, Editor-In-Chief, Activist, Nationalist, Statesman, Polyglot and Orator was the last Premier of Yorubaland.

Recently learnt that the building has been given to Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso to begin the Institute of African Studies, LAUTECH.
