the White Sox did it. absurd. 121 LOSSES to the POSTSEASON in two years. did it with basically 3 (maybe?) starting pitchers, a SS who will set the MLB single-season K record, a mid-April call-up 2nd baseman converted to left-fielder franchise leadoff man, a Japanese rookie slugger who couldn't hit in August/early September, about 5,437 catchers and a Savannah Banana-turned-All-Star CF all while drafting No. 1 overall. one of the most fun "fan of a team" years i've ever had & it's not over.
10 years since Blackhawks advanced in a playoff
10 years since Bulls
14 years since Bears
8 years since Cubs
20 years since White Sox
(non play-in, non qualifying)
embarrassing for the market. figure it out
Bear down: Chicago is finalizing a deal to hire Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson as its next head coach, sources tell ESPN. Bears are getting their man.
The #WhiteSox have picked up the multiyear option for Jason Benetti, who is entering his 8th season as a member of the Sox broadcast team. Sox also announced a multiyear extension with Steve Stone, who is entering his 16th season in the White Sox broadcast booth.
