AFC Uckfield Town are delighted to confirm that Freddie Dawson will be part of the First Team squad for the 2026/27 season.

Having been with AFC Uckfield Town for a number of years, Freddie is one of the club's longest serving players and someone who understands exactly what it means to represent the badge. His experience, commitment and knowledge of the club make him an important member of Tommy Haddon's squad.

Primarily a right back, but equally comfortable on the left, Freddie combines quality on the ball with tenacity in his defending. His versatility, composure in possession and willingness to put the team first make him another valuable asset heading into the new season.

Freddie has impressed throughout pre-season, working tirelessly both in training and on matchdays, and his professionalism has set the standard for those around him. Alongside his experience on the pitch, he continues to play an important role within the dressing room as one of the group's leaders.

First Team Manager Tommy Haddon said:

"We're delighted that Freddie will be with us this season. He's someone who knows the club inside out and understands exactly what's expected every time he pulls on the shirt.

He's had an excellent pre-season and has worked incredibly hard, both in training and in games. Freddie is technically very good, defends with real determination and always puts the team first.

As well as the quality he brings on the pitch, he's another important leader within the squad. His experience, professionalism and willingness to keep improving every day are exactly the qualities we want throughout the group. I'm looking forward to seeing the role he'll play for us this season."

Comfortable in both central midfield and at left back, Mitch's versatility makes him a valuable asset to Tommy Haddon's squad, providing quality and flexibility across a number of positions.

Mitch's performances throughout pre-season have reinforced the qualities he brings to the squad, with his professionalism, adaptability and commitment making him an important part of the group's preparations ahead of the new campaign.
