@lousrequiem i genuinely don’t get what people hate about the song, to me it sounds exactly like what people have been begging her to release. it sounds straight out of TUN. goes to show she really can’t please yall 🤷♂️
@ARareRevival@baby_eternally_ there are like maybe 3 or 4 songs that work together on the album. but that doesn't change my point. when there are 4/17 cohesive songs on an album it's pretty safe to say the album is not cohesive and doesn't work. how is break free on the same album as jalboyh? or OLT?
@lizzydaysahead@baby_eternally_ i think the reason so many people say ME is worse is bc it literally doesn’t work as an album. it’s not cohesive, every song sounds like it belongs somewhere else, it sounds like a playlist. there’s also not a theme, or story. whereas yours truly does have a theme and style.
@ARareRevival@baby_eternally_ the songs aren’t the problem, it’s the album as a whole. it lacks a cohesive theme, story or vibe. nothing about the album is consistent, and it literally just feels like a playlist of random songs mashed together. even yours truly had a cohesive style and vibe.
@imperfectfordre she has… i literally gave you an example 😭and again, i don’t see why she needs to surpass TUN numbers. plus, both positions and eternal sunshine & petal might’ve not sold as much as TUN but they did other massive things for her career.
@motivedrugs it has such a clear aesthetic and vision tho. it was dreamy, spacey r&b. to me this was one of her best executed visions next to eternal sunshine and thank u next. & i also think petal’s only overhated due to the hate train and ED allegations. people will switch up.
@vmprght@mikeymonicas didn’t say that, and no it’s not because i liked the song. if u disliked it that’s fine but nothing about the song is “horrible”. if this is ur bar for horrible what do u consider ai music?!
