@Empoweryorks@YPHarrogate Correct me if I'm wrong . Could they be playing the long game in this direction with the White Rose agreement where all the combined authorities work together on certain issues as they arise ?
@TheJerzWay The EU is still a hybrid of the intergovernmental and supernational so there is still some optionality there but the more it moves to the supernational the more centralised it becomes .
@JohnBouras3230 I thought Bourassa was familiar . Fom my last trip to Montreal many years ago , there's two streets in Montreal with your surname attached to them .
@JohnBouras3230 Oh OK I understand . You might get some people thinking Norway/Switzerland with the same voting rights as an EU member state. EEA plus by your definition may sporn a new trade agreement entirely like a transatlantic economic area or a EU-Canada upgraded CETA with EEA rights .
@JohnBouras3230 Ah I see ....but there is no need of a "+" as the EEA encompasses the 4 freedoms of EU single market which includes fee movement of people.
@JohnBouras3230 John. What does the" + "mean in EEA +? During the Brexit debate some remainers noted that even though EEA was the best form of brexit, compared to brexit's harder forms and EU membership , it was still a down grade due to the UK not being at the decision making table.
@andrewhesselden I think only experiencing the rest of the world que at a Scottish or Welsh or United Ireland Schengen border would change the perspective .
