@Angelamac33367 No, sorry, I meant that the real world is filled with language trends, frequently used cliches and patterns and so it should be plausible that others in the main character's sphere (particularly if she is influential/a thought leader) would speak like her.
@TomRachman As a boy in a small town I knew where all the best crabapple trees were. They each had a distinct flavor, a best time to pick, and individual rules about harvest/theft. If my grandmother had taken every tree in town and made jelly from its fruit, would I have enjoyed it?
