The argument seems to be:
1. Computers are becoming intelligent. They can beat humans at chess and Go. They can calculate better than humans. And now they can converse in a manner that often seems intelligent.
2. Intelligent beings have the ability to
balls destroying our cities.
The day computers show evidence that they have desires (or fears), that's the day I'll be afraid. Intelligence without will is about as scary as a missile without fuel.
