Strengthening Crisis Communication: A Successful PIO Training!

Over the past two weeks, Frederick Williams and I had the privilege of instructing a dedicated group of officers and civilian staff in the @NJSACOP -New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police Public Information Officer (PIO) class. With over 100 students from 70+ agencies across two states, the level of engagement, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing was outstanding.

Our hands-on approach—featuring real-world case studies, interactive exercises, and dynamic video analysis—kept the class highly engaging. The feedback was incredible, with many attendees calling it the best preparation they've had for handling crisis communication.

Our goal is simple: empower every participant to confidently manage communication challenges at their local level. Crisis communication is always evolving, and we remain a resource for all our students moving forward.
