There have been 76 shootings at schools or college campuses so far this year. Gun violence is the leading cause of death for children aged 1-17. That’s a pretty meaningful risk.

Abortion laws that outlaw abortion from the time of conception would also outlaw the destruction of embryos (which are post-conception). If IVF was exempt that would kinda be hypocritical, but maybe that’s on brand for the “pro-life” movement

@opkimistic @Jazzy_Charrisse @JessicaValenti If you believe abortion should be illegal from the moment of conception (the goal of anti abortion advocates - personhood for embryos) IVF becomes out of reach for most people. It’s also too risky - if an embryo is compromised or destroyed, clinics face wrongful death charges.

@MacDoesIt Well it’s broken down to a weekly amount, you can pay it weekly or monthly or whatever you want, as long as you don’t fall behind. Until recently I had tenants in a property, I didn’t care how often they paid as long as they kept up the rent reasonably well.
