This Thursday is #SchoolArchivesDay, so to celebrate we'll be sharing photos from our archives throughout the week! Here's some of the Kingsgate Village and the streets surrounding Winchester College, including College Street, Kingsgate Street and the edge of Canon Steet.
Slowly we’ve been finding our strength at Sherlock & Pages. We hope 2026 can be the year we truly find stability after 2.5 years of dedicated work.
If you’d like to help get our 2026 off to a good start we’re at https://t.co/7aixEqA32k and in Frome, Somerset.
Thank you
Just a quick note to wish you all a Happy Christmas and an an extraordinarily good New Year. We are so very grateful to you all for your continued support of the shop. Don't go anywhere... we'll be back after the break
AMAZING NEWS!!! (This is NOT the final result BUT)…the SCOTTISH PARLIAMENT JUST PASSED SWIFT BRICKS THROUGH TO THE NEXT PHASE. The SNP government did not but THE OTHER PARTIES STOOD UNITED AND SHOWED ENGLAND HOW ITS DONE. SCOTLAND YOU BEAUTY! Thank you @markruskell !
I wouldn't normally trouble y'all with a "prize binding" of The Complete Works of Shakespeare but I like this one for a couple of reasons. First, Midhurst Grammar School is local to us and second, how cool to get a prize simply for "common sense".
With 19 hours left @PfieldMuseum are not only approaching the end of its first Big Give Christmas Challenge but also very close to reaching what seemed an extremely challenging target a week ago. We are now 90% of the way there. https://t.co/LjTZcWCG5E.
And we are on the last leg of the campaign now. Can you help us raise the remaining £1,225 (which will be fully matched) to reach our £7,000 target by the deadline. A big thank you to those who have, and who are going to donate - https://t.co/kGyjsPXsVi. Thank you
This year @PfieldMuseum is taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge (first time) and are thrilled to have #ReedFoundation as Champion Funders, meaning every £ donated until 12 pm Tuesday 9 December is matched. Interested. Find out more and donate https://t.co/LjTZcWC8g6
Welcome back to our #ObjectOfTheWeek series!
This richly illuminated manuscript is a Book of Hours, a liturgical book that contains prayers to the Virgin Mary to be recited at certain times of day. It dates from c. 1455–85 and was donated to us in 1906.
