@Arrowhead_Adam Yeahhh. As a PT, cartilage issues in a cutting athlete are not great. Good try though.
Also, try being positive. Got some good talent coming in. Enjoy the ride.
@M_Vernon Obviously this situation is sensitive. But it is possible for a guy to be sick multiple times in a given winter. Heck, I have been.
And there are different viruses that exist.
@KU_Pride@M_Vernon@VBJayhawks Plus. We are bringing in a highly ranked Opposite in Taylor Stanley, who brings high level and even some international experience via team USA. Get what you are saying. But Ulmer has this thing under control. Bringing in his talent.
@KU_Pride@M_Vernon@VBJayhawks Came here to say the exact same thing! The international recruits came in late after Ulmer was hired. May never have been an agreement beyond 1 year. And weren’t connected with Ulmer or KU necessarily. JZ was a big time talent, but couldn’t play quick or athletic like coach likes
@Zyrvuu @MileHighCape @MattVerderame Didn’t say that necessarily. Just completely different. Tendon vs ligament. Surgeries have improved for Achilles. Less tissue disruption. Less invasive. Stronger repairs. All speeding up recovery timelines of late.
@MileHighCape @MattVerderame Would be very highly surprised. Plus ACL is the limiting factor even in multi-lig/complex injuries.
Around the AP days we sped up recovery, but over the last 10 years we have fallen back into the middle with recommendations. Risk of re-injury goes down significantly after 9 mo.
@M_Vernon But did you listen to the video? I literally texted a buddy after watching that video saying he was likely just going to go 20-25 today. He finished at 23. I get what you’re saying, but Bill did insinuate as much. Plus, he was sick and coming off injury, ~20’ is plenty. Esp up 20
Thankful for the support from OrthoKS/LMH! Relieved that it’s done! Blessed to be surrounded by some of the best PTs around that I am able to learn from daily. Rare to be at a place that now has 3 SCS therapists and a fellowship trained director. OrthoKS/LMH is the place to be!
We’re thrilled to share that Mitch Montgomery is now officially SCS Certified! 🏅
This recognizes PTs with advanced expertise in sports medicine & means Mitch has gone above and beyond to master the skills needed to treat and prevent sports-related injuries. Congrats, Mitch!
@M_Vernon@shre98 Coaches work to keep players accountable. But not often enough do we see players keep coaches accountable. Which often, is so important. Good for Flory for standing his ground. Having tough conversations. And being honest.
@philly8924 Was literally telling Allie that Houston just did to Duke what they did to us..and then LJ goes and drops that line. Lol. Taken me 2 months to recover from that game and it was just the regular season. Ha. Would hate to be Duke right now.
