@peediepuss@iancbeavis@BrennanMartine It’s actually pretty symmetrical- albeit bits have broken which makes it look asymmetrical. This is a view from another angle.
@iancbeavis@BrennanMartine Thanks guys. Perhaps it will stay a mystery. I thought perhaps it was small mammal or bird as we live rural Devon. But perhaps it’s could have been collected and discarded from a beach. We live 40 min drive from coast.
@iancbeavis Thanks Ian. Guess it could be a shell, if someone collected it from a beach and dropped it. We do live 40 minutes from the beach. We live in rural Devon amongst farmland.
@iancbeavis Hi Ian - not sure on your knowledge on bones (or know anyone who might know), but found this in my garden any ideas what it belongs to? (I'm assuming it's bone). It measures 20mm across.
@WeberGrills Yeah found it thanks. Strange system for cashback. As it’s lucky as nearly missed the box being taken by bin men. How come serial number on BBQ itself and VAT receipt isn’t sufficient?
@hbkeenan@WeberBarbecue@WeberGrills Thanks Helen - I managed to find it. Luckily just before the bin men took the packaging! Strange system, as I could have easily got rid of box.
Four Great Tit chicks doing well - but they also have a robin helping with the feeds! Seen this on @BBCSpringwatch before. Perhaps her chicks have fledged.
@katemacrae@WildLifePaul hey Paul or Kate - I have a Great Tit making a nest this year, but this Blue Tit keeps visiting, have either of you experienced this? (perhaps the same blue tit from last year?)
@urbanponds101 Hey looking good - it's my first spring for my wildlife pond - saw a newt for the 1st time yesterday, it was about 2-3 inches, is that fully grown?
@_JoelAshton Hey Joel or anyone, going into my 1st spring with my Joel style pond. Had some digging around the roots of my marginals. Any idea of culprit? Initially thought a bird, but 1 hole tunnels too deep for a bird? We thinking rodent, perhaps rat? But why around the roots?
