Thankfully mom and baby did well in their hands!
So I’m black.
I’m reminded of it every day.
To be black is to endure the death of your humanity by a thousand paper cuts.
So when a white man cut in front of me in the checkout line yesterday, I found myself enraged by the questions I had to ask myself before I could react.

Watch this INCREDIBLE 3 second video clip. It’s an LV Gram showing Takotsubo with free wall rupture of the Left Ventricle. You can actually see the blood spurting out into the pericardial space with every heartbeat!

Dear @VascularSVS,
While I applaud the apology and retraction, the real problem has not been addressed. The fact that it passed your internal review processes shows you have a deeper problem. You need to fix your internal culture that allowed this to happen.
Fellowship is an emotional, difficult & rewarding rollercoaster.
There are days nothing seems to go right.
Then there are days you leave work feeling like you provided great patient care & learned a lot in the process.
Today is one of those latter days. Feeling very grateful.
Glad we got a quick POCUS in the ED for a young female in her 40s coming in with SOB and leg edema for weeks. With the help of ED, CCU, and CTS staff, she went for an urgent operation and did very well. Look what we found on the TEE! #echofirst#cardiotwitter#medtwitter
