As part of the run-up to the 167th Income Tax Day Celebrations, a Sports Festival was organized by the Office of the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana Region, under the guidance of Shri Suresh Battini, IRS, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana Region.
The week-long sporting event brought together members of the Income Tax fraternity and their families, fostering camaraderie, teamwork and a healthy competitive spirit. More than 200 officers, officials and their family members participated with great enthusiasm in a wide range of sporting events.
The festival concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the outstanding performances of the participants and reinforcing the Department's commitment to employee welfare, work-life balance and a vibrant Aayakar Parivaar.

On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, the Office of the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (AP & TG Region) organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Drive and Health Screening Camp at the Income Tax Quarters, Road No. 12, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, on 14 June 2026.
The event was inaugurated by Shri Suresh Battini, IRS, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, AP & TG Region, in the presence of senior officers, officials and their family members.
Officers, staff members, and their families participated wholeheartedly in this noble initiative, contributing to the success of the blood donation drive and reaffirming their commitment to social responsibility and community welfare.

Under the guidance of Shri Suresh Battini,IRS, Pr. CCIT, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana Region and Shri. Shiva Sewak ,IRS, Commissioner of Income Tax (TDS), Hyderabad, an awareness programme on TDS/TCS provisions was conducted on 03.06.2026 at the Directorate of Census Operations, Kendriya Sadan, Koti, Hyderabad by the staff of ITO (TDS), Ward-2(3), Hyderabad.
Around 30 Accounts Officers, DDOs, and employees participated in the programme. Key provisions on TDS/TCS under the New Income Tax Act, 2025, were explained, and common errors that lead to TDS defaults were discussed. The interactive session aimed at enhancing compliance and promoting a better understanding of statutory obligations among stakeholders.

Shri M Anil Kumar, IRS, Pr. CCIT, AP & TG Region inaugurated the Renovated Income Tax Camp Office - ATC-78 in Tirumala on 19th March 2026 in the presence of Shri Suresh Battini, IRS, CCIT, Hyderabad, Shri. M. Vijay Kumar, IRS, PCIT, Tirupati and Senior Officers.

In unison with the Seva Sankalp Resolution adopted by the Union Cabinet in its first meeting held at Seva Teerth on 24 February 2026, the Income Tax Department, AP & Telangana Region has conducted Meetings across the Region on 02-03-2026 wherein officers and officials of the department adopted the “Seva Sankalp Resolution”.
The Resolution is founded on the principle of “Seva” (Service) and the guiding sentiment of “Nagrik Devo Bhava” (Citizen is Supreme).
On the occasion, officers and officials rededicated themselves to citizen-centric, transparent, solution-oriented approach and accountability in tax administration.

PrCCIT Awards were distributed to Officers & Officials. Scholarship Distribution to underprivileged Students by Sphoorti and Patriotic Cultural Song & Dance Events were organised to mark the occasion. The event was also graced by Senior Retired Income Tax Officers and Officials. Family members of the Income Tax Fraternity participated in the event with patriotic fervour.
