“చాలా రోజుల తర్వాత ఒక సినిమా చూసి చిరాకు వేసింది. Half of the movie felt too dark and dull. I couldn’t connect with the story at all. Satyadev’s character was mostly crying and suffering throughout the film, which made it even harder to stay engaged. One of the worst movies I’ve watched in recent times. Skip it.”

For Maa Inti Bangaram, AMC passes were enabled from Day 1 and ticket prices were kept at normal theater rates. That’s exactly why the movie got a strong opening. There wasn’t huge pre-release hype, and honestly many people didn’t even know the film was releasing. But when tickets are affordable, people are willing to give a movie a chance.
The problem with many Telugu releases is the excessive ticket pricing. If you keep increasing prices however you want, audiences lose interest. Most people want to watch a movie during the first 2–3 days, especially on the opening weekend. If ticket prices are reasonable and passes are enabled from Day 1, more people will come to theaters immediately.
When prices are too high, people postpone watching, lose interest by the third day, and then it becomes difficult to bring them back even if passes are enabled later. By then, the momentum is already gone.
Producers and distributors need to seriously rethink ticket pricing. Many people are dealing with financial pressures, and convincing friends or families to spend premium prices on movie tickets has become difficult. These high prices are hurting the theater-going culture itself.
A movie should be accessible to everyone. Keep ticket prices reasonable, enable passes from Day 1, and let audiences decide. That’s the best way to build word-of-mouth and give films a fair chance at the box office.
