ACCRA- GHANA / AWARD NIGHT
Receiving infront of this audience, former Presidents, top CEOs from across Africa can only be God!
Of course family has played a role, so has the people I work with across different businesses, most of you reading this too has supported things I do.
My message was simple, the world earned 11 trillions dollars in 2025 from tourism, Africa earned only 7% of that.
40% of Africas tourism is brought in by European carriers, 25% Middle East carriers and only 20% by Africa carriers.
The above situation can only be changed by us Africans, we must take the risk over and over again

RWANDA AIR / MY EXPERIENCE
My overall experience in Rwanda from Thursday evening to yesterday in Rwanda was great.
But amongst highlight were Kigali golf club, Freedom restaurant, meeting business associates and Rwanda development board.
The other highlight was with @FlyRwandAir especially the crew last evening out of Rwanda departed 6.55pm Rwanda time.
I have flown @FlyRwandAir quite a number of times but the crew last evening composed of young people was great. Well spoken, delightful etc.
I totally loved the young man who brief me and a few others who were seated on the emergency seats. Great briefing with a smile and slight joke at the end.
The area of improvement was some of immigration at Kigali airport especially when we arrived on Thursday. I don’t think every immigration person is bad.
3 of us( Ugandans) on the counter that evening can conclude that, they weren’t exited about us coming to Rwanda, we had to convince them, we are okay guys.
One of the Ugandans owns about 3 hotels here in uganda but he was shy to tell them he a serious business person when they asked him what he did a living.
I also labored to convince them but didn’t take it personal, didn’t want to spoil my evening. Uganda is great for Rwandas business over the weekends.
Generally had a blast in Kigali which is great and hope to be back soon.
Over 3 days at the Travel and Adventure Show in Los Angeles, we joined the Uganda Embassy in Washington DC and several Ugandan tour operators to showcase the beauty and diversity of Destination Uganda.
The Uganda stand attracted strong interest from travel advisors, media, influencers and travellers keen to learn more about gorilla trekking, wildlife safaris and Uganda’s rich cultural experiences.
We also had the opportunity to meet Phil Rosenthal (Netflix’s Somebody Feed Phil) to pitch Uganda as a potential filming destination, and Peter Greenberg, producer of the Hidden Uganda documentary, where we discussed the possibility of a screening in Washington DC to further spotlight destination Uganda.

Most people think traveling is expensive.
Yesterday after our wonderful game drive and boat cruise at Murchison Falls, we drove to our budget accommodation in Masindi.
We paid only 30,000 UGX per room, yet the standards and hospitality were surprisingly good. Before leaving, I even told the manager they should consider increasing the rate because the place offers real value for money.
Travel doesn’t always have to be expensive. Sometimes it’s about discovering simple places, meeting good people, and appreciating the experience along the way.

Ghetto Kids Uganda
Yesterday I invited the leadership of @ghettokidstfug for a 2hr very deep conversation.
These guys are amazing, it was out of reflection last week while in my room in Madrid.
@ghettokidstfug have a massive social media following from across the globe which can be used for massive opportunities for Uganda.
They have 8.8m followers on Instagram, 12.8m followers on tiktok , 7.3m on Facebook , 2.1m on YouTube, 1.4m on threads and 24k X.
We have agreed to work on something soon and can’t wait seeing we can push uganda across the world, something close to my heart.
Just having a conversation with these younger guys , there is so much to learn from them. The young man in the picture taught me how positioning of ideas on social media works.
I need to learn from him even more now even when am a BBC( born before computers)
