Sebby, the death threats used towards you are disgusting. Anyone telling you to kill yourself, threatening you, or wishing death on you is completely out of line. I have never defended that.
But those threats do not erase your own behavior or the environment you have spent more than a year cultivating around this fandom.
This is not about 1 "badly worded" livestream clip. This is how you have repeatedly described FF7R fans and people who disagree with you:
Orcs
Skaven
"Rebirth Nazguls"
"A horde of shrieking Nazguls"
"Swarm in to gaslight you to death"
"Demons in Frieren"
"Deranged fans"
"Turbo furries and Disney adults"
"The Square Shill Defense Force"
"An absolutely insane cult"
"The lunatic section" of the fandom
"Conclusion: Rebirth is for Furries"
"Anyone who dies on the hill that Red has to sound uwu is a furry"
"The stupid furry voice" about Red XIII
"Uwu furry cringelord"
"The Swarm"
"Rebirth fans will then lie to your face"
"A bunch of deranged fans dying in the hill that Red has to sound like a furry"
"FF7R fans bully literally anyone who criticizes those games into silence"
"Many FF7R fans see arguments not as things they actually believe, but as tools to shut down criticism"
"They push out everyone who doesn't meet their purity test"
"If anyone new questions the doctrine, they call you an idiot then upvote each other to look right"
"Making you feel crazy is one of the main argument tactics of FF7R fans"
People defend the gameplay "like it's their religion"
"Normal People" vs. "Anime People"
If Red XIII's voice sounds normal to you, you have watched too many "s***ty English dubs" and "ruined your brain"
"The Most Dishonest Fandom In Gaming"
And this is the kind of language that gets used about Remake fans in your own Discord AND YouTube comments:
"Functionally illiterate"
"They dont understand story structure at all"
"Not even a first graders understanding"
"Jingling shiny keys infront of toddlers"
"The slop consumers are the toddlers"
"A feel-good toxic positivity echo chamber of mouth breathers"
"No real ability to assimilate information"
"They don't understand what they're watching and don't actually think about it"
"Deranged sycophants"
"Psychotic remake fans"
"Hordes of hundreds of raging Morlocks"
"Gaslight themselves"
"Completely hallucinate their own internal narratives"
"Desperate head-canon to justify their $70 purchases"
"Brain rot the size of Sephiroth's mommy issues"
"Delusional attachment to fiction"
"Final Fantasy VII isn't a game. It is a religion"
"You either are in the cult and worship it or you are a threat"
"Blind following. Blind worship"
"Borderline delusional"
"Like a cultist rapidly inventing their own dogma"
"Living in the depths of Plato's cave"
"They are entirely delusional"
"Abnormal behavior from those fans"
"Bots/shills"
"Remake shills"
"FF7R defense force"
"Cult like behaviour"
"A toxic dating relationship with FF cultbase"
"I thank god everyday that I am on normal people's side"
Someone disagreed with you over how dialogue changes when moving from 1997 text boxes to fully voiced cinematic scenes. They told you they were being honest and that it was okay to have different opinions. You turned that disagreement into lying and gaslighting, told them,
"You tell the truth, or you get out," and the conversation ended with "And you're out." In another exchange, you told someone, "G***O out of my Discord," and later called them "deranged." That is the exact behavior you accuse the other side of.
The sales debate is another perfect example. Someone tried to debate you IN GOOD FAITH and asked a simple question. How many copies would Rebirth need to sell for YOU to consider it successful? 5 million? 6 million? 8 million? 10 million? They were asking for your benchmark. You never gave one. Meanwhile, multiple people jumped into the conversation until that person was literally saying they did not want a 4 way debate and wanted to speak to YOU. Someone even joked about making it a 10 way debate.
Hamaguchi gets it too. He has been called a "nerd with social skills issues," accused of "public social incompetence," and someone even said, "Their Japanese naivete could leave them helplessly exposed to this." People celebrated him being told to "shut up," called him the "master of bloat," and said he should be fired. This stopped being normal video game criticism a LONG time ago. THIS ALSO SPILLS INTO YOUTUBE COMMENTS.
And now your followers are showing up in 2 year old YouTube videos and completely separate creators' comment sections repeating the exact same arguments and talking points. I am literally watching it happen. So when people call this an echo chamber, where exactly do you think that criticism is coming from?
Then there is @ScouterVee.
He is not some random account completely disconnected from your community. He has been brought into discussions in your Discord, including because of his knowledge of Japanese and the Japanese version of the game.
Publicly, he has called Remake "g*y, censored slop," said "It's not silly, it's lame, g*y and cringe," called Honeybee a "g*y burlesque show," complained that LGBT characters were "shoved into the game," mocked them with "HEY PLAYER!!!!! WE'RE GAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!," called it "propaganda," and complained about a "DEI insert dude." Inside the Discord, members have talked about Cloud and his "g*y boyfriend," Square wanting "fujoshi money," people spending money on "g*y stuff," contrasted it with a "normal hug," and explicitly complained about Square "pushing the g*y agenda." And this is all happening in the same community that keeps acting like this is just reasonable criticism of a video game.
Then there is Maximilian Dood.
The "95% the same" clip became recurring ammunition against him. People in your own community eventually saw the fuller context and someone literally admitted, "we were wrong about this statement," yet "95% The Same" kept getting recycled anyway. You even pinned a comment referring to the 1997 game as the "real Final Fantasy 7" and Remake as the "fake remake known as FF7R." You literally quote it in your videos now and put it up as a BIG PICTURE.
Your server supposedly has a rule against streamer beef, so what exactly does that rule mean if another creator can be clipped, mocked over and over, have the context challenged, and then STILL be used as ammunition?
The Sales Argument
The old information was real. Ampere estimated roughly 2.21 million peak daily active users around Rebirth's launch, but that was DAU, not 2.21 million confirmed sales. Square also said in 2024 that Rebirth's initial sales were "not as strong as expected." Fine. I acknowledge both. The problem is you cannot freeze the conversation in 2024 because that information supports your argument, then dismiss newer information when it doesn't. In 2026, Hamaguchi said Remake and Rebirth were selling "extremely well" and that sales after the Revelation reveal were "several times better than we had expected."
Square's newer financial reporting described Rebirth's new platform performance as "solid," and Circana had Remake jump from #225 to #9, Rebirth from #142 to #12, and the Remake & Rebirth Twin Pack from #277 to #36.
So which is it? You believe a 2½ year old Ampere analysis and Square's old statement because they support "Rebirth failed," but when newer information comes from Hamaguchi, Square, and Circana, suddenly it is vagueposting, cope, "trust me bro," or a lie. Do sales matter, or do they only matter when they support the conclusion you already decided on?
That is the pattern. Critics praise Rebirth? "Paid critics." Fans defend it? "Toxic positivity." People disagree with you? "Gaslighting." Fans like Red's voice? Furries and Disney adults. E33 succeeds? Proof modern Final Fantasy was wrong.
Someone asks you for a clear sales benchmark? You never give one. New information complicates the sales narrative? Dismiss it. Someone pushes back in your Discord? They are lying, trolling, obsessed, or out the door. There is ALWAYS another excuse for why evidence against your narrative does not count.
The problem is what you have built around that hatred. You have made 50+ videos about this and even described it as, "It's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it." You have an insane amount of videos about Red XIII. It's a daily dosage of negativity from you.
At some point this stopped being "I dislike these games." It became an identity built around fighting the games, the developers, other creators, and increasingly the people who enjoy them.
You keep asking everyone to recognize how toxic the rhetoric directed AT YOU has become.
When are you going to recognize how toxic the rhetoric coming FROM YOU and the community you cultivated has become?
@Sebbywebz After making numerous rage bait (not even constructive criticism) clips about FF7R for clout and now you got the attention in a bad way by FF7R fans because of “dont ruin my history” bullshit, you’re now the victim? You made us do this & we thank you mr. attention seeker. 🫡😂
@weiwuxianslove I want it too! If only Zack goes back on the same timeline but the last trailer with Aerith and Zack meet up it seems they are on a different timeline
