The Waterfall Model is like building software in a step-by-step manner, where each step is like a phase in a sequence.

Phases of the Waterfall:
- Requirements:
First, you figure out and write down exactly what the customer wants. It's like making a detailed plan before you start building anything.

- Design:
Next, you design how the software will look and work based on the plan. It's like creating a blueprint or map.

- Development (Coding):
Now, you actually start building the software by writing the code. It's like constructing a building based on the blueprint.

- Testing:
After building, you test the software to make sure it works correctly. It's like checking every room in the building to ensure everything is in order.

- Deployment:
Once you're sure the software works, you release it to the users. It's like opening the doors of the finished building for people to use.

- Maintenance:
Finally, you keep an eye on the software, fixing any problems or making improvements. It's like maintaining a building to keep it in good condition.

The key thing is, once you move to the next step, you can't go back to the previous one easily. It's a one-way flow.

The Waterfall Model works well when you know exactly what you want from the beginning, like following a clear recipe.
