More than a result. A journey built on belief, sacrifice and togetherness. ❤️💛
18 goals. 3 clean sheets. Young girls stepping up.
Through every challenge, we stood together and never stopped believing.
The journey continues.
Mama,
I last saw you and Papa together more than 35 years ago. Since the day Papa left, I have watched you face everything life threw at you with never-ending courage and dignity. Only Priyanka and I really know what you have been through, and how difficult your life after Papa truly was.
I am happy, and so proud, that your story - “Belonging: A Journey of Love” - will finally be read by the millions of people who love you. I know how hard it was for someone as private as you to tell the world your beautiful story.
Today, on his birthday, I can see Papa smiling and looking down proudly at his beautiful Sonia.
Love,
Rahul
Hi, I’m 99 year old Nayantara Sahgal, and I’m still alive. I'm the woman whose photo @amitmalviya first weaponised on 15 Nov 2017 to malign my mamu (uncle) Nehru.
I’m the daughter of freedom fighters R.S. Pandit & Vijaya Lakshmi Pandit - Nehru’s sister.
Here’s my story. 🧵1/11
Even after India gained independence, the Hindu Mahasabha sought British assistance for the 1952 general elections.
The BJP & its predecessors are the last ones who should be lecturing anyone about patriotism or nationalism.
The whole clan were dalals of Britishers.
BJ Party was funded by Jinnah's grandson till the Adanis took over from him.
No wonder they are busy fulfilling Jinnah's work and BJP leadership considers him a great man.
BJP giving patriotism certificates after Independence Day?
Their ideological ancestors in the Hindu Mahasabha were still begging the British for help in free India’s first elections.
Declassified UK archives show Ashutosh Lahiry, chairman of Hindu Mahasabha’s parliamentary board, delivered a confidential letter on 27 August 1951 to the British Deputy High Commissioner in Kolkata. He pleaded for “the full weight of your influence” and “whole hearted support” to stop a pro-communist ministry in 1952.
Four years after Independence. Still looking to London.
The same ecosystem that stayed away from Quit India and practised “responsive cooperation” with the British now lectures Congress on the national song.
They are the last people who should speak of patriotism. 🇮🇳
In 1952, Hindu Mahasabha wrote a confidential letter to British Deputy High Commissioner in Kolkata asking UK to invade India and that Hindu Mahasabha will support British Monarchy against Independent India.
Never forgive! Never forget!
