@EricRShoesmith@OC_Transpo Sorry to hear this, Eric, but so glad to hear that you encountered such a kind driver. Hope you’re on the mend soon, and able to take it easy in the meantime.
@OccTranspo@_MarkSutcliffe Halifax just increased their tax by 9-point-something, and even that was a compromise down from the 12-point-something they needed to fund all their capital projects, like rapid transit and road modernization.
@Kay_Elle_Bea@kristinsinsin The “black rocks” are the ones that waves have recently crashed on, turning the light grey to a dark grey/black.
Here’s the sat view on Google - i drew a yellow line to separate roughly what is ‘safe’ and what would constitute higher risk for slips and rogue waves.
@amandawtwong@OC_Transpo 100%, it’s worse. No question.
I don’t know exactly what the problem is, aside from a disconnect between funding and sprawl, with a dash of poor route planning for good measure? The frequency with which I now wait for a bus that doesn’t show is astonishing.
@OttTransitRider The shocking thing is that this doesn’t even sound out of the ordinary.
Even with LRT, if I leave my downtown office at 4, the commute home as scheduled is 95 min but takes 2hrs more often than it should because the 200-series connections are so unreliable.
