Today, we were delighted to welcome incoming Deputy Minister of Health Deborah Richardson, representatives from @ONThealth, @OntarioHealthOH and @HCCSS_ON to SE Health.
The Deputy listened intently and thoughtfully as our direct care staff shared their inspiring stories and explained the roles they play in the lives of Ontarians; in the places they call home.
At SE, our purpose is to bring hope and happiness and we are encouraged by Ontario’s home care modernization efforts through programs such as transitional care bundles and integrated funding models.
Together with our community partners and hospitals, we are committed to Ontario’s plan: “ensuring Ontarians of all ages can access care easier, faster, and closer to home in their communities.”

Thank you, Minister @AdrianaLaGrange for visiting our small care homes - and your work to expand this innovative model and make it accessible to more Albertans!
I had the pleasure of visiting ExquisiCare Senior Living’s care home in Edmonton.
Their small community model shows great innovation in long term care.
Thank you for your hard work and dedication!

Lots of discussion about for-profit vs non-profit surgery on twitter and in the news. Wish there were same or more discussion about ED overcrowding, insufficient home care, post-acute and long-term care, and lack of access to primary care.
Our health care crisis: Patients will lose patience with political games. Voters will tire of the ideological rigidity that conflates medicare’s commendable values with a system that doesn’t deliver measurable value for money. My wknd column: https://t.co/iGRm5ekyVM
“Americans have been trained for 100 years to think that the hospital is the best place to be, the safest place. But we have strong evidence that the outcomes are actually better at home.”
The hospital-at-home movement is just getting started
