So that’s how this Mixblock shall come to be tomorrow. Also props to @fx_hash_ for the donation split feature which makes it so easy to split proceeds with organizations like the Processing Foundation https://t.co/SJfXHrGkFw
Last time I dropped a Mixblock on @fx_hash_ I tweeted about how I built it. And I’ve finally got a new Mixblock dropping tomorrow so I’m also going to do a little behind-the-scenes about this one 🧵

A new thing I’m trying with this Mixblock is a few different visualization types: here’s some captures of the same beat visualized 6 different ways. You might end up with any of these or a 7th rare one that’s either the best or the shittiest visual, not sure but shipped it anyway
@pxlshrd@aquaquasi @QaRtNFT @TijnArt Thanks! These are really fun to make. Besides the fact I have no idea how to do algorithmic music it’s just fun to make beats the “old fashioned” way with the twist that you never know how the pieces are gonna come together
This whole thread is a gold how-to for generative audiovisual. Especially love seeing the raw p5.js output before it passes through the "LOFI" shader. I feel like @mix_blocks is really pushing real-time audiovisual to another level. And the beats feel great and varied. Minted!
