wala kang pakialam sa nangyayari? bakit? just so you know, everything is political. the food you can afford, the wages that can’t sustain a family, the education system, inaccessible healthcare, even your basic rights, all of that is political.
so stop acting like politics doesn’t concern you. ganyan ba kayo ka-privileged not to feel the consequences of bad governance? gising, pilipinas. we deserve better.
pretty fucked up that some of these artists were so quick to like the older brother’s clarification post and show support for him and wjmild but the moment the truth came out and the person they supported turned out to be guilty (a rapist and a sexual offender), suddenly “i can’t judge them because i’m an outsider” and “i can’t speak on a family matter” like don’t fucking piss me off. not to mention how most of the apologies coming from these artists are so visibly catered towards the general public and especially their fans, but nothing specifically directed towards the ACTUAL victim. it’s just so infuriating and disgusting.
