Why did it take me so long?

Like many on the right, I became disillusioned with the media during Trump’s presidency.

I was angry at the Democrats for insinuating that the person I voted for was placed there by the Russians.

So, like most Republicans, I stopped listening to the news and the left altogether.

I was disappointed that Trump lost in 2020, but January 6 disgusted and shocked me. It was such an awful end to a presidency that I tuned out of politics altogether and focused on my career and investing.

Now that I’ve revisited January 6 by thoroughly reading the court cases, hearings, and testimonies, I know the truth—and I can’t believe what I’ve read.

Trump knew he lost and created a plan to lie to his base and use their anger to steal the 2020 election. The damage caused by these lies has divided our nation and threatened our democracy.

I was wrong and fooled, but I’m not letting that bastard win again.

So it’s clear, if Trump wins the election:

1. Trump is ineligible for the office of President under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment for engaging in insurrection. Though SCOTUS held states cannot enforce Section 3, I would completely support and encourage duly appointed presidential electors to use their delegated authority to enforce Section 3 and vote for a different candidate. I would support Congress immediately impeaching and removing Trump from office as a result of his ineligibility under Section 3.

2. Even if Trump were not ineligible under Section 3, (e.g., because the presidency is not an “office”) I would still support his immediate impeachment and removal for the high crime/misdemeanor of insurrection and/or incitement of insurrection which only failed in 2021 because he was no longer in office. Additionally he should be impeached and removed for abuse of power related to his attempts to steal the election using the DOJ.

These are very easy and basic calls that all freedom loving Americans should agree with.
