Yael Stone isn't just worried about the emotional consequences of telling her story about Geoffrey Rush. She is worried that Australia’s defamation laws will drag her into a legal and financial quagmire. https://t.co/JigLwJfSj9

The drag community in the UK has worked very hard to have diversity, inclusion and politicality, and to offer a space for kings, queens, trans and non-binary voices. I’m fearful that the UK drag race is going to erase all this work, privilege cis queens, and divide our community.

True dat

[HamishSteele @hamishsteele]

Drag Race Thailand was amazing (something this article totally ignores but lol The Sun) and part of the reason is it was showing what Thai Drag was like to the world. My fear is Dragrace UK won’t do that, instead it’ll push the expectations of US drag onto U.K. drag.

[HamishSteele @hamishsteele]

I just have this image of someone doing Dot Cotton on Snatch Game and Ru not getting it. Tbh I see the whole thing massively effecting the U.K. queer performance scene as artists desperately squeeze themselves into Drag race’s super narrow goal posts.

[Tom Knight @TJ_Knight]

RuPaul’s #DragRace is coming to the UK in 2019. I hope they use it as an opportunity to showcase our queens, not for cheap drama. Our country has a rich drag history and so many amazing artists. Positive #LGBTQ representation in mainstream media can do so much good.

[dididafi @miz_lead]

Definitely gonna watch this version too, to see ru losing her shit over uk’s diversity. Definitely intrigued to see how ru will handle the big amount of trans or afab queens, as he had been critical of trans queens not that long ago. God save the queens 💆‍♀️💅 #DragRaceUK #dragrace

[World of Wonder @WorldOfWonder]

Hey super queens, who’s got what it takes to be part of our royal family? 👑 RuPaul's Drag Race UK is OFFICIALLY headed to @bbcthree next year. Which of the Queen's queens will be crowned Great Britain's next drag superstar? ✨ @rupaul
