Private health care in Quebec doesn't sound so great... yet Alberta UCP keep pushing for it. Their friends will all get richer but the rest of Albertans will get less care and some of us will die needlessly. That's the truth #abpoli#ableg#yeg#yyc https://t.co/DJasLO2hQ1

Can we give a shout out to @Tony__Clark?
Calling out the UCP for cronyism is our right as Albertans.
The UCP threatening a lawsuit for telling the truth is as cowardly as it gets.
Thank you Tony!!!
(UCP staffer @samuelnblackett is a feckless coward)
In March '23, the UCP's AHS board appointed Mauro Chies as CEO. He was fired as part of "refocusing" in Nov.
Cost: $1.38-million
Gain: Absolutely nothing
While our healthcare system crumbles & Albertans lose access to care, UCP just keep picking fights & wasting money. #ableg

It’s been 1 year & 9 months since Danielle Smith was elected Premier
We’ve seen MULTIPLE
⚡️ Power Grid Alerts
🏥 Closure of Hospitals / ER MD’s Fleeing Alberta
🏫 School Boards receiving MAJOR funding cuts DESPITE record growth
What has Danielle done to help Alberta?
For those who think that a parallel user pay system will help “offload” the public system, ask yourself where the healthcare workers (who we don’t have enough of in the public system) will come from. When Human Resources are finite, they get drained from the public system. /1
Ryan @ryanjespersen - maybe the @Alberta_UCP@YourAlberta are spending the most money on healthcare in Alberta’s history, but it isn’t on front line workers. Anyone can spend bazillions of dollars for something, but if they are in being efficient with their moneys, it’s wasteful. It’s inefficient. It’s dangerous for Albertans.
Take a look at cancer care. We have the lowest number of oncologists per capital in Canada, yet we have Canada’s fastest growth rate.
Having the “biggest budget in Alberta’s history” means nothing if our government is mismanaging their funds.
The UCP have fired 33 senior health leaders at a cost of $9.5-million in severance.
They spent more than $13.3-million on “health care system refocusing efforts” in the last fiscal year
But the crisis in healthcare has only grown worse.

I’m old enough to remember Danielle Smith as a trustee on CBE. She was so dysfunctional, the entire board had to be dismantled by the provincial government. Perhaps Bill 20 is her idea of ‘pay back time.’
Yes, the Chestermere case shows how arduous the process ought to be to remove an elected official. We need to ask why the government wants to make it easier to do so.
You have to watch this clip.
This clip is only two years old, but in it, Smith speaking freely to her comfort audience condemns everything that she has done with Bill 20.

It seems arrogance is par for the course for UCP health ministers.
The UCP destroyed primary care with cuts that drove family doctors out of practice & out of province.
And Min. LaGrange has the gall to try to blame @Albertadoctors for not fighting them hard enough? #ableg
The @Alberta_UCP foray into privatization via Dynalife was a MASSIVE FAILURE.
The contract buyout cost you, the Alberta taxpayer
$97 MILLION.
No word yet re what our contract w/Telus Babylon (BANKRUPT) will cost us
Now Smith is having discussions w/Telus Health-again…
The UCP is currently taking out high interest loans, in order to put money into the heritage fund, so they can use the fund to invest in their friends O&G companies.
The loans are being added to our debt load, as will the eventual tanking of the stock.
The @Alberta_UCP divert Public Ed $ to Private & Charter schools
$118M thus far…that we know about.
When questioned by the press @demetriosnAB:
“We wanted to give Albertans choices.”
We already had “choices”, only now Public Ed PAYS for other people’s choices

This week in #Abpoli
❌ Royal Alex Hospital was shut down due to cold weather
❌ Hundreds of unhoused individuals has 0 shelter options
✅ Danielle Smith went on vacation anyway
Leadership is stepping up and supporting others; cruelty is turning your back on others.
There is absolutely no way a reasonable person would look at those numbers and accept them. This govt didn’t even question them but instead started a national campaign based on them
