@james_xond By the time I was 16, I had a union job in the summer which paid way more than minimum wage. I worked for the State in office jobs half day during the school year. Minimum wage for that one.

@james_xond I don't know about in Spain, but my younger brothers and I worked in the fields since we were single digit midgets. We got paid for how many pounds of produce we picked in the summer. I sanded cabinets in a cabinet shop and babysat when I was 12. Other jobs as I got older.

@mrmikeMTL I can get a stupidly large flat-screen television for much less than a 32" TV would have been 15 years ago. Telephones have more features at a lower price. There really isn't such a thing as long distance charges. My low-cost desktop has memory that laughs at 15 years ago.
