We are hearing deeply disturbing reports that approximately 65 Ethiopians, reportedly the vast majority of them Tigrayans, have been executed in Saudi Arabia.
Many Tigrayans have faced immense hardship in recent years, including mass killings, war, displacement, insecurity, limited opportunities, and pressures in their own country, treating them not only as second class citizens, but enemies.
These domestic scenarios have driven migration of the youth toward Yemen and Saudi Arabia in search of safety and livelihoods.
Reports of persecution and abuse against vulnerable migrants in transit and destination countries have long been a source of concern.
These disturbing news of executions we are receiving represent a grave violation of human dignity and fundamental human rights.
I strongly condemn such actions and call for transparency, accountability, and respect for international human rights standards.
Every human life deserves dignity, justice, and protection.
@Marnjam1 Buachhh abzzihkyo 😭. How is Semhal Gojame? And from which side of her family is she Gojame?
What is wrong with short hair? 🙄 Why attack others for how they look? There are Tigrayans with short and long hair, and the same goes for Gojame people
