Crew Deck Cooking mini-guide:
The cheatsheet below covers the best permanent buff recipes for your dolls & main the pitfalls to avoid. You can just refer to it & you're good to go! Simple as that.
-
But I'm just gonna yap a bit to explain the rest of it:
The new cooking system is divided into Dine-in buffs, which apply immediately, & Take-out buffs, which give permanent benefits after you offer them to your dolls on the crew deck.
The Dine-in buffs expire at the end of the day & often only apply to a single game mode. It's pretty similar to the old cooking system we had.
As for Take-out dishes, the food itself will expire, so you have to feed it to your doll before the next day. Feeding it to your doll increases their Satiety level & when the cap is hit, they'll gain the corresponding permanent stat boost.
However!! If the required satiety level is not reached, it will reset back to zero at the end of the week (Monday). To avoid wasting ingredients, this means you should plan to have enough ingredients stocked up before committing to a buff.
As for the actual cooking, when your dolls make food, you gain a global cooking experience which improves cooking success rate. And as you discover new recipes for the first time, you unlock rewards like Collapse Pieces & Basic Info cores. A complete list of recipes is provided in the post under this one.
Next, there are two new items in Furniture Shop --> Sundries which give cooking ingredients, so make sure to add them to your weekly wishlist.
Phase clash is the other method to farm ingredients & there's a Take-out recipe at the bottom of the cheatsheet which buffs ingredient drop rate in this mode. When you enter an elemental zone, you can activate the buff from the backpack icon in the top right of your screen. However, as a Take-out item, it expires after that day, so it's best to cook it only before starting your Phase Clash run. Also, the buff expires after you complete that elemental zone, so you'll need 3 if you want to stay buffed the entire Phase Clash. (Thankfully the recipe of Synthetic White Meat + Greenhouse veggies is cheap to make.)
Lastly, condiments are rare add-ons that give strong buffs such as 1.5% attack, 1% crit rate & crit damage, or 3% elemental damage. These are useful if you're struggling with a stage or want to min-max Gunsmoke.
Lastly lastly, you'll quickly notice that Greenhouse Bell Peppers are a limiting ingredient for permanent buffs. Take care not to use these carelessly.
I think that about covers it.
