I have 2 queries regarding travel expenses:
I am a self employed musician, sole trader and work from home some of the time.
1. I travel to and from student’s houses to teach them, can I claim the travel expenses on these journeys?

@HMRCcustomers Thanks for the reply. Even though I visit different schools and I don’t go to them every week I still need to class each one as my normal place of work? Is that true for student’s houses as well? Thanks!

2. I teach in 4 different schools during the course of the year. I visit each of the 4 schools 21 times during the year. I have no contracts with the schools. Can I claim travel expenses on these journeys?
