Today marks the 20th anniversary of #PatriotDay (also known as 9/11). Our thoughts are with the civilians, first responders, and anyone else who had lost their lives or a loved one that day. Today we are thinking of them and the family and friends they left behind.
Today, we hold great value to this holiday and what it means for the African American community. #Juneteenth continues as a reminder of black resiliency and advocacy. As of this Wednesday, the U.S. Senate passed a bill making Juneteenth a federal holiday.
Join us in celebrating 123 years since the founding of Sigma Sigma Sigma on April 20th, 1898! On this day, we remember the eight women who began this organization and our values of faith, hope, love wisdom, and power #FoundersDay #1898
