How is it acceptable for an AI system to make a decision that can wipe out YEARS of someone’s life in minutes?

My primary Instagram account was permanently disabled after being linked to my child’s parent-managed account, which was created primarily for his dance portfolio. I appealed. I provided the requested documentation, including proof of my age and identity. I still lost access.

Then my Facebook, which I’ve had since 2006, was affected too. Even my WhatsApp number can no longer be registered.

20 YEARS of memories, photos, messages, connections and content… gone in minutes.

I know I’m not the only person this has happened to. I understand the need to protect minors and enforce policies. But when an automated system gets it wrong, WHERE IS THE HUMAN REVIEW?

Give us an actual way to speak to a human, provide whatever documentation is needed, and have someone review the case before permanently deleting years of our lives.

AI can flag an account. It should NOT be the final word when a real person’s entire digital history is at stake.
