@elrufai@irahabib Before writing TAPS @elrufai used to have a 1hr question and answer on twitter, usually every Sunday, maybe he ll reintroduce that to clear the air on so many things from 2015 up
#tableshaker I beg to disagree with your figures sir and of course the betting incomes are a function of income and business outfits to our famous and retired footballers. Also revenue to the national lottery comm.Gambling is the opium of the stupidly rich oga
Before you conclude that Nigerians need fuel subsidy because petrol is too expensive, please be aware that according to Gallup Polls, Nigerians spend $2 billion (not Naira, dollars) annually gambling on sports betting, of which we only win less than $200 million. In other words, we are pudding away $1.8 billion. This is about the same amount of money our government was spending on fuel subsidy annually.
Please research it by yourself. Sixty million Nigerians spend $8 daily on pools and other forms of sports betting.
We also spend hundreds of millions of dollars annually on porn sites, and three million Nigerians invested and lost $30 million in the MMM Ponzi scheme.
If you remove emotions and study pure empirical data about how and where Nigerians spend their money, you won't even listen to the Joe Ajaero-led Nigerian Labour Congress's calls for a nationwide strike.
Yes, Nigeria is not the wealthiest country on Earth, but our major problem is priority, not poverty. And fuel subsidy removal will force us as a people to prioritise our monies to achieve better outcomes in our lives, as well as give governments at various levels an opportunity to spend public funds on infrastructure and social services, like education, that will help Nigerians make better financial decisions than spending our monies on gambling, pornography, and Ponzi schemes.
I know you are angry now. But am I lying? Truth is bitter, but better!

My vision for the people of Katsina is to build a better future for everyone, and I understand now more than ever that a better future is possible for all. I have toured every part of our dear state and seen first-hand the challenges our communities face.
The good people of Katsina State, you have explicitly proven to me that you truly love me as your son for voting me as your Governor. I will be humble in my dispensation, diligent in my execution, and sincere in my actions.
Very much in agreement with the Waziri of Adamawa. We are all witness to the non availability of the new notes since it was launched. So ppl should not be blamed coming out late to exchange
Do you remember when you joined Twitter? I do! #MyTwitterAnniversary it was 11 year ago during the #occupyNigeria in Kano protesting the fuel@price increase from #65/ltr - #75/ltr. Hmm 🤔 different story now
These are countries visa-banned by UAE (the country of that Dubai our Leaders love so much). Of the 20 countries on this list, 19 are in Africa.
You see, folks, we must FIX Africa.
And it starts with fixing Nigeria; and that in turn starts with your choice of Leaders. Be wise✍🏾
For the 1st time in over 20yrs in Kano, Kwankwaso, Ganduje and Shekarau will all be in different camps politically. Traditionally in Kano even before them, 2 or more camps will form an alliance to defeat the 3rd, but in 2023, seems all 3 camps will go at it independently.
Early warning signs for Chelsea and Thomas Tuchel.
Chelsea were completely outplayed by a resilient Southampton to record a second loss of the season for the EPL giants.
