Mike Rowe just made Bill Maher's audience gasp. He says young men aren't volunteering, joining clubs, or doing anything productive because they're spending 2,100 hours a year staring at a screen.

It's actually even worse than he said: the average Gen Z adult spends ~9 hours a day — over 3,200 hours a year — on a screen.

This is the biggest reason for two decades of social decay: screens replaced face-to-face human contact.

For years, I served as the Chairman of the Board of a Christian ministry that was one of the most viral underground church movements in Iran. Iran has been under US sanctions for years. Which means that getting any funds into Iran in any form is severely restricted. If it is not done in strict compliance with the law, board members are liable for federal crimes and can easily end up in federal prison for the rest of their lives. It's very serious stuff. For Tucker Carlson to say he is an American journalist who can do or say anything he wants and talk to anyone he wants with zero repercussions is the epitome of entitled, nonsensical gaslighting. Journalists know there are laws they must all abide by. Everyone has to obey the law, even rich, snotty, entitled men with names like Tucker or Buckley. If he is found to be guilty of crimes against the United States, I truly do hope that proper justice is served.

I have been informed by NBC that I won’t be back with FNIA this fall and it has given me time to reflect and also to look ahead. 

It’s disappointing  news but I want to thank my NBC family for making the last 17 years so special.  I’ll have lasting memories of my time there, especially with Rodney Harrison who has become a tremendous friend.

God has always directed me in these moments and while I’m not sure what the next step will be for me—whether it will be in football, in broadcasting, or getting more involved in church and community outreach —I know God has plans for my life and I can’t wait see them unfold. And I am reminded of one of my favorite verses in the Bible-Romans 8:28. “God works all things for His good for those who love the Lord.”

What Joshua Harris admits to in this article is precisely what we see out of some well known Christian leaders who are obsessed with criticizing a given political leader. Again, it’s a flip-side-of-the-coin form of idolatry. In this quote from the article Harris says the quiet part out loud:
