Following today's tragic terrorist attack, here are some quick personal security tips that could save your life. These are things you should always keep in mind!

1. Maintain Situational Awareness
- Be aware of your surroundings, identifying potential exits, cover, and concealment
- Do not stare at your phone when walking city streets
- Watch for unusual behavior, suspicious objects, or sudden crowd movements
- Know multiple evacuation routes from any location you frequent
- Identify potential defensive positions and hard cover (concrete walls, engine blocks, thick trees)

If you encounter a terrorist attack or other violent situation:

2. Get Off the X! (Get away from Danger)
- Move immediately upon identifying a threat (the "X" is your position when the attack begins).
- Move perpendicular to the attack, not directly away
- Use quick, unpredictable movements to make targeting difficult
- Put hard cover between yourself and the threat (Concrete walls, vehicles, thick trees, etc)
- Continue moving until you reach a safe location
