@WallStreetApes This isn’t about the ER visit, it’s about an inpatient stay. Ur write up is not accurate & should be apparent to anyone who can read. Based on medical notes you didn’t need to be admitted which is apparently true if u felt better the next day. That should be an observation visit.

@Nicoletta0602 Not seeing playtime listed, but I can tell you I never went outside and played fetch with a kid and my dog. I can tell you that the dog actually helped kids want to show up to school. I have supported most of your issues with the schools but disagree wholeheartedly here.

@Nicoletta0602 I had a therapy dog. We didn’t get paid, we volunteered our time. Students read to dogs for practice. It costs nothing to the school district. This is not a topic to rip apart. Focus on standard based grading if you need a new issue that is hurting students.

@dantypo They should not be inside restaurants, but outside should not be an issue. My last dog I trained as a therapy dog for schools and nursing homes. He had to be around people and noises. The lack of socialization creates scared reactive dogs.

@GavinPrestonMD Pretend ins. co didn’t exist & we pd out of pocket. Who would actually be able to afford it? We would choose what care to spend our money on. Ins co can’t just pay all the bills there would be no money left. Either the ins co or patients control the spending. Patients are not.

@DutchRojas W/O insurance many will go bankrupt when someone in their family gets ill. Do you ever stop to think insurers need Drs. to find the a balance & stop over utilization. Would you like the costumer service rep doing that instead.? Go after pharm & hospitals to bring down costs.

@EPotterMD I work for an insurer. All call are recorded & logged. No one should have to start over. The majority of PA requests are electronically submitted & have a turn around time. This can be avoided by submitting all codes at the intial request especially if this is a common procedure.

@GavinPrestonMD This is unrealistic. You can’t expect the insurance company to pay for everything. If I had to pay the physician myself I absolutely would manage my care with cost in mind. BTW there are medical directors at these insurance companies reviewing cases in addition to fraud units.
