6ers arena supporters are funny because they dance in circles, they talk about how there’s no tailgating for Sixers games but then act like people will flock restaurants and attend Reading Terminal Market (closes at 6 PM) before games…

They act like the sports complex is a cancer to the city but then act like an arena strictly for a basketball team will save the city… they act like traffic in south Philly is so bad and cite how 85% of fans currently drive to games and then cite how the traffic won’t be an issue at an arena where they can’t have more than 40% drive to games or there will be gridlock traffic…

They talk about increased tax revenues but they’re not adding any tax revenues because they probably won’t get double the events in Philly especially by 2032 when you can assume with AI progression, concerts and things will be completely different by then and honestly will possibly be a thing of the past by then… so they’re just shifting Wells Fargo center tax revenue to 76 place tax revenue but there’s no increase without double bookings and I don’t see Philadelphia getting double bookings…

This arena conversation is annoying because the entire time most fans wanted to protect the sanctity of the sports complex and the unity of the 4 teams and the 6ers owners told us that’s not a possibility, that’s not reality which shows zero care for their fans who last time I checked are the people they’re catering the arena for, the stadium complex era is over unless Philadelphia city council has a spine which they don’t and there’s a lot of people are defending rival billionaires for a project that ultimately will not revitalize the city at all especially if the 6ers enter the much anticipated rebuild they will be in post-Embiid

Ironically the 6ers have a chance at winning the title this year but that’s all been lost in arena talk for an arena 7 years from now, they’re not even focused on their current era because they already sold out the current era and process and Hinkie to the league and cost this city a dynasty so they have to play face and act like they care about anything but their team value so Harris Blitzer can pass Kroneke in “team valuation” groups in a worthless billionaire pissing contest
