🚨 We just had a meeting with the CEO, National Head & Zonal Head of a top health insurance company.

Their message was clear:
“You are posting too much about online sales issues. Stop naming our company, or we will terminate our partnership.”

Our response:
What exactly are we saying that is wrong?

If you sell a health insurance policy online,
Have you invested enough in proper claim support for those customers?

Why does a customer get multiple calls, WhatsApp messages, and follow-ups when BUYING a policy…
…but struggle to find someone when it’s time to CLAIM?

We asked these questions.
There was no logical answer.

We made our position clear:
Terminate the partnership if you want.

We will continue speaking about customer issues and work with insurers who genuinely want to improve the customer experience.

You can terminate a partnership.
You cannot terminate the voice of customers.

And insurers need to understand one basic fact:

Being customer-centric isn't a marketing slogan.
It's a business strategy.

Instead of spending crores on:
1️⃣ Advertisements
2️⃣ Paid social media campaigns
3️⃣ Influencer marketing
4️⃣ Trying to silence criticism

Invest that money in better claim support.

Because when a customer is hospitalised,
They don't need another advertisement.
They need someone to answer the phone.

The insurers who understand this will win customer trust.
Those who don't will eventually pay the price.

For all who keep asking when I will be performing in Mumbai next: I have that same question for @MumbaiPolice. When can I perform my stand up in the entertainment capital?

I understand that my previous work has caused some amount of administrative excitement over the years. I also appreciate that the Mumbai Police has many important responsibilities—maintaining law and order, preventing crime, managing traffic, watching India’s Got Latent and, occasionally, deciding whether I am allowed to tell jokes in a room.

I therefore wish to assure you that my proposed performance - as always - will be conducted peacefully, indoors, at a venue with 100 consenting adults and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.

All I’m asking is if 40-50 humourless people turn up to cancel / disrupt the show or harm the venue, will you allow the hecklers to exercise their veto? Will a mob of people who didn’t buy tickets to actually come watch my show get to decide what freedom allows?

Actually it’s down to just one question,

Yesterday, the PM visited DU, gave a political speech and even invoked the term “Dimagi Naxal,” while speaking very little about the state of our educational infrastructure.

Today, a hostel building in South Campus has collapsed, with students feared trapped under the debris. The number of casualties is still unknown.

For how long will students in this country have to pay the price for failing infrastructure and neglect?

Adivasi students are dying in tribal belts due to a lack of care and support, and even students studying in the national capital are not safe.

Students deserve safe classrooms, safe hostels and basic dignity. Is that really too much to ask?

Will the PM visit DU again and explain how did this happen?

Wow. Going to one of India’s premier colleges and once again branding a young, questioning generation as “Dimagi Naxals” has got to be among the most shameful things a Prime Minister can do. And on Teacher’s Day.

He could have spoken about why SRCC’s own teachers have had to protest over denial of medical and childcare leave. He could have promised SRCC’s students better infrastructure that’s crumbling. He could have acknowledged the crushing pressure of hyper-competition they face.

He could have also spoken about nearly 1 lakh schools shutting down in a decade. About 9 crore young Indians trapped without any jobs, any education and any training. About 73% of school students dropping out before completing higher secondary education. He could even have answered for his own government SLASHING education budget by HALF in last 12 years!

But he chose none of it.

Instead, the Prime Minister used Teacher’s Day to deliver yet another political lecture DEMONISING an entire generation of young Indians for committing one unforgivable act in his eyes: questioning those in power.

A Prime Minister should give the young hope, not such stupid labels. He should answer their questions, not vilify them for asking.

What a pathetic state of affairs.

When @zoo_bear was arrested by Delhi Police in 2022 based on a manufactured complaint, court had ordered 4 days of remand and he was kept in IFSO office in Sector 16 in Dwarka during the remand period. I would go see him from a distance everyday because he was allowed to meet the lawyer everyday, and I would go along, but i wasn't allowed to speak with him. Once he was going to be taken for a health checkup (as part of regular procedure), which would mean he would have to be put into a police van and taken to the hospital. I was present there at that point in time and saw a lone camera person standing outside the gate. I was intrigued as to how does this media person know that Zubair's going to be taken for a checkup. I asked him which media organisation he's from, and it of course turned out to be ANI. Essentially Delhi Police had informed ANI that the camera person should be there so that the images can be shown widely on social media. Thankfully, that case didn't go the Umar Khalid way and he eventually got bail in 23 days. In those days, he was shuttled between different towns of UP and Delhi and the ANI camera followed him everywhere. Today, Swatantra Bhardwaj has been sent to police remand for an actual crime, but ANI has no photos to show.

Gen Z Couldn’t Be Crushed - by Salu Soz

Swatantra Bharadwaj is reportedly booked under the POCSO Act.

But another disturbing question deserves an answer.

The Indian Express reported that police claimed CCTV cameras had “caught” certain murder and rape accused at the CJP protest site. Yet the newspaper also pointed out that some of the people identified were, according to available records, actually lodged in Tihar and other jails at the time.

If these contradictions are genuine, then we cannot simply brush them aside.

Were some prisoners deliberately brought out of jail and placed at the protest site to create violence, discredit the protesters and ultimately crush the CJP movement—and then quietly returned to custody after the alleged acts were carried out?

If the answer is no, then the Government and the police should have no hesitation in providing a clear explanation.

Who were these individuals? Where were they at the exact time of the incidents? Who authorized their movement? Were prison records altered or ignored? And how did people supposedly inside different jails appear at a protest site?

These are not small questions. They go to the heart of the credibility of the entire investigation.

The Government had almost everything on its side

The Government appeared determined to stop the movement.

It had the administrative machinery.

It had the police.

It had investigative agencies.

It had enormous influence over the mainstream media narrative.

And it had the ability to restrict or remove content from social-media platforms.

Posts were reportedly being deleted one after another.

But there was one thing the Government did not have.

It did not have control over Gen Z.

And that changed everything.

The Government could delete ten Instagram posts.

Gen Z would create a hundred more.

Delete those hundred?

A thousand would appear.

Silence one account?

Ten new voices would emerge.

Block one narrative?

Hundreds of videos, posts, screenshots and messages would immediately replace it.

For perhaps the first time, the authorities discovered that controlling the traditional channels of communication was not the same as controlling the people.

You cannot switch off an entire generation

Previous generations depended heavily on newspapers, television and a handful of powerful institutions to know what was happening.

Gen Z operates differently.

They record.

They screenshot.

They save.

They share.

They cross-check.

They communicate directly.

And, most importantly, they remember.

The Government could attempt to control what appeared on television.

It could attempt to control what appeared on social media.

But it could not control what millions of young people were saying to one another.

Every attempt to suppress the movement seemed to produce another wave of resistance.

The more they tried to erase the story, the more Gen Z wanted to tell it.

That was the Government's greatest mistake

Perhaps the biggest mistake was assuming that this was merely another protest that could be crushed through conventional methods.

It wasn't.

It was a generation discovering its collective power.

The Government may have possessed enormous institutional power.

But Gen Z possessed something different:

numbers, technology, speed and an unwillingness to remain silent.

And when those four things came together, something remarkable happened.

The balance of power began to shift.

The Government could use the machinery of the State.

Gen Z used the machinery of communication.

The Government could issue orders.

Gen Z could create a movement within minutes.

The Government could remove posts.

Gen Z could recreate the message hundreds of times.

And eventually, the Government had to respond.

The real victory was not merely the demands

The most significant achievement of the movement may not be any individual demand that was accepted.

It was the realization among an entire generation that their collective voice mattered.

They discovered that they did not have to wait for television channels to speak for them.

They did not have to wait for political leaders to define their anger.

They could speak directly to one another—and to the entire country.

That is why this movement cannot be understood merely as a confrontation between protesters and the Government.

It was something much bigger.

It was a confrontation between institutional power and people power.

And when people discovered that they could communicate faster than power could suppress them, the equation changed.

The Government had the machinery.

Gen Z had the message.

The Government had the power to delete.

Gen Z had the power to multiply.

And perhaps that is why, despite all the attempts to suppress the movement, the Government has so far been forced to bend on each of Gen Z's demands.

The lesson is bigger than this one movement:

•⁠ ⁠You may be able to silence a voice.
•⁠ ⁠You may even be able to delete a thousand posts.
•⁠ ⁠But you cannot silence a generation that has learned how to speak together.

They tried to crush a movement.

Instead, they awakened a generation.

An 18-year-old girl named Roop Kanwar burned alive on her husband’s pyre in Deorala, Rajasthan.

On 4 September 1987 — eight months after marriage..
One day after he died of gastroenteritis.
The village called it sati. They said she walked in smiling in bridal clothes, held his head in her lap, and sat calmly while thousands watched.

Journalists found she hid in a barn, was dragged out, frothing at the mouth, screamed when the fire hit her, and tried to climb off. Logs and the crowd held her down.

If she had lived as a widow the in-laws would have lost the dowry — gold, TV, fridge, cash. Dead “goddess” kept the goods and turned the village into a pilgrimage site. They built a shrine, sold photos, drew 100,000–250,000 people. Politicians defended it. A new law banned sati and its glorification. 45 people were charged with murder, abetment, and celebration. Every single one walked free over 37 years. Last acquittals in 2024. Zero convictions.
Her brother said they were happy she became sati.

No one asked an 18-year-old husband to burn if the wife died first.

That is the whole story: property, pride, and a pyre. They didn’t just kill a girl. They turned her into a business and walked away clean.

If roles reversed even once, the custom would have died the same day. It survived because only she was disposable.

Informing an individual's family during interrogation or detention is a legal mandate, not an optional courtesy.

​Yesterday, I was taken for interrogation after my morning walk under the assurance that it would take very little time. However, as the hours stretched on, my repeated requests to inform my wife of my whereabouts ,the concerned Police Officials/Officer simply stated they were "following instructions."

​I was only permitted to make a call at 6:38 PM, leaving my family & friends in total panic the entire day.

I request that you issue clear instructions to all units directing officers to strictly uphold the legal duty of immediately informing the family of any person taken for interrogation , so that no citizen’s family has to endure the distress that mine suffered.
